The little things...

It's the little things that make me happy.

Like walking through London in spring and autumn.
Like walking through Prague in the spring.
Like walking through Berlin in the winter.
Like walking through my favorite little artist village at the Northern Sea in the summer.

Like watching the sun rise in the morning.
Like watching the sun set in the evening.
Like watching the moon and the starts on a clear night.

Like drinking coffee in the sunshine.
Like drinking tea while watching the rain pour down on the window.

It's the little things that make me smile.

Like hanging out in the tiniest pub in England with friends from Germany.
Like hanging out in the oldest pub in England with friends from the UK.

Like sitting in the office and someone plays my favorite song.
Like sitting in the office and someone makes a stupid joke.

Like waking up in the morning and hearing church bells ring, reminding me of my childhood home.
Like waking up in the morning and realizing that I've had the funniest dream.

Like petting the random cat you see on the street.
Like smiling back at the dog that seems to smile at you.

It's the little things that make me feel contempt.

Like hiding under a blanket and reading a book.
Like listening to music while getting ready in the morning.

Like walking through town and just enjoying the company.
Like walking through the park and just enjoying to be in nature.

Like being surrounded by the people I love.
Like being on Skype with the people I love.

Like going out for brunch on Sunday morning.
Like staying in bed on Sunday morning.
Sunday mornings in general.

It's the random little things that make life better.

Like going to a concert.
Like going to the movies.

Like buying fresh flowers every once in a while.
Like growing your own strawberries.

Like wearing your favorite clothes.
Like wearing your comfiest PJs.

It is these moments that might seem meaningless or small to others that are meaningful and important to me.

"Everyone is trying to accomplish something big, not realizing that life is made up of little things." - Frank A. Clark
